Beste vrienden van Het Gooi Bevrijd,
Helaas moeten wij u mededelen dat de 2026 editie van Het Gooi Bevrijd NIET doorgaat.
Het Gooi Bevrijd is de afgelopen jaren uitgegroeid tot een bijzonder en omvangrijk evenement, gedragen door vrijwilligers, deelnemers en partners met een groot hart voor onze geschiedenis.
Dit vraagt om voldoende organisatorische capaciteit. Op dit moment moeten wij constateren dat die capaciteit er onvoldoende is om een editie te realiseren die recht doet aan de kwaliteit, veiligheid en beleving die wij voor ogen hebben.
Wij vinden het belangrijk om hier eerlijk en tijdig over te communiceren. Het besluit is genomen vanuit verantwoordelijkheid naar onze vrijwilligers, deelnemers en betrokken gemeenten.
Wij willen iedereen die zich al heeft ingezet, belangstelling heeft getoond of Het Gooi Bevrijd een warm hart toedraagt, oprecht bedanken voor het vertrouwen, de betrokkenheid en het enthousiasme.
Dat waarderen wij enorm.
Wat de toekomst brengt, laten we voorlopig nog even open. We hopen jullie in de toekomst weer te mogen verwelkomen in het mooie Gooi!

Dear friends of Het Gooi Bevrijd,
Unfortunately, we must inform you that the 2026 edition of Het Gooi Bevrijd will not take place.
Over the past years, Het Gooi Bevrijd has grown into a unique and substantial event, made possible by volunteers, participants, and partners who share a deep commitment to our history.
Such an event requires sufficient organizational capacity. At this moment, we must conclude that this capacity is unfortunately insufficient to deliver an edition that meets the standards of quality, safety, and experience that we strive for.
We believe it is important to communicate this decision openly and in a timely manner. This decision has been made out of responsibility toward our volunteers, participants, and the municipalities involved.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has already contributed, shown interest, or holds Het Gooi Bevrijd close to their heart for their trust, involvement, and enthusiasm.
We truly appreciate it.
What the future holds remains open for now. We hope to welcome you again in the beautiful Gooi region in the future.
